There’s President Katia Passerini and President emeritus Thayne McCulloh —both smiling, both fully present, both representing the deep care and shared commitment that has defined this extraordinary leadership transition. Their time together reflects the past, present and future of Gonzaga Ā鶹¹ŁĶų—rooted in Jesuit, Catholic education, and moving forward with purpose.
As Dr. McCulloh concluded his remarkable 16-year tenure yesterday and Dr. Passerini stepped into her presidency today, I encourage you to pause and recognize how rare and meaningful this moment truly is. This transition has not been transactional—it has been relational. Intentional. Full of integrity.
Their mutual trust and shared vision for the Ā鶹¹ŁĶų is emblematic of what makes this community so special.
